For those that remember, I had installed an aluminum radiator in my 308 some time back, which required the removal of the fiberglass spare tire tub for the radiator to fit properly with the new fans.
Having the tub out also was a blessing while I was bead blasting the front of the chassis making it easy for me to get the job done.
I decided to reinstall the spare tire tub as a tool bag/luggage space and thought I would post a few pics of the mod performed to the tub for it to fit in conjunction with a massive radiator.
As you can see the front of the tub needed to be cut away with an air tool in order to clear the fan shroud.
I then simply rebuilt the cutout area with fiberglass
and repainted.
Not perfect, but my storage space is back.
