As a sign of how important Ferrari takes the emerging marketplace in China, the exotic Italian automaker has just announced a limited edition 599 China Edition model. Just twelve Chine Edition cars will be made in a special Rosso Fuoco red exterior paint, with the roof and pillars painted in gray.
The car was designed with the help of Chinese artist Lu Hao and features such exclusive items as a jade ignition button with the ancient Xiao Zhuan symbols for "engine start" printed on it. Chinese characters are also used for the tachometer, while a special luggage set will also be included. The luggage features an embroidered map of the Chinese silk road.
Just 12 of these China Edition 599s will be made with an even more exclusive one-off model also being built. This one-of-one 599 features a porcelain-look paint job and will be sold at auction later this month.
