But ya gotta luv that shot from the rear with those 12 cylinders at full song. The car certainly has the WOW factor as well.
I agree! I bet w/ a Tubi and a wide open throttle you forget all about its looks! The rear view is really something...LLLLOOOOWWWWW and WWWWWIIIIIIDDDDDEEEEEE!!!!! Be sure and measure your garage to see if you can get the car through the door!

I look forward to seeing pics in the future.

I have a two and a three car garage and the 512 will go right down the middle of my two car garage. I am little more worried about transporting the car should I buy a car long distance...which is a very real possibility. I'm sure the car is too wide for the car trailer I have.

I would do a search or find an owner that can measure for you. My race car BARELY squeaks between the fenders of my trailer. I think I have about 1.5" left on each side.

Okay, the car is 77.8 inches and I'm not sure if that includes the side mirrors. That is 6 1/2 feet wide! My 2004 Supercharged Mustang is 59 inches wide for a comparison.

That is CRAZY wide! WOW! Should pretty well fit into most single car garages though w/o too much problem.

Just an update on the pricing I am seeing. I've viewed probably 12 512TRs over the last couple of weeks. The prices on these cars are all over the map. I'm seeing 512s anywhere from 90K to 125K. The differences appear to be in the color and miles. Off colors (White, Blue, Gray) can be had in the low 90s as well as all of the high mileage (above 25,000 miles) 512s no matter what the color. Low mileage examples in premium colors (Red, Black, Yellow) are 115K to 125K. Dealers, on the average are 10K higher across the board. I found one Red 3100 mile example in red for a 100K, but this car has never been serviced previously, so being that the car is 15 years old, it probably should have a major done. Add 10K to that now. I'm finding that I must be very careful when considering each individual car. Color is important to me, miles must be under 20k and it must have a recent engine out service. I have found the perfect car, but it is at a dealer and it is sadly priced above my budget at 126K. I'm trying to stay under a 100K, although I may go a tad over for the right car.

Hey there, I was reading some of your comments about the increase in value and I just have to say that in order to insure that the value of a ferrari increases, you have to get a limited edition such as the F40, F50, Enzo and so on. If you're looking to buy a 512, then do it cause you love the car

Here in the UK the Testarossa is increasing presently and most agree that it has already hit bottom and is going back up again slowly.

I have not heard of clutches being a problem but I know that they are costly to replace being a twin plate clutch.

More important is probably the state of the cam belts, these need to have been changed recently as it is an expensive job.

If you can get a car that has had a recent service that includes cam belts valve clearance and general service (oil change etc.) then you should have a full year cost free motoring, except for the 15mpg of course.

The car should fit into a standard garage, but.........
the doors are so thick you may not be able to get out of the car. If the mirrors go through then the rest of the car will follow easily with about 4 inches on each side.

Hope this helps. I will drop you some photos of mine in the garage if it helps.

So, did you buy one yet ? I have a 92 & 93

This may be the best time in the 21st C to buy one. 2009 should be great for buys as the whole economy slows

what color do you want ? I have a friend who deals in Ferraris who has a very nice yellow 512Tr w black interior , asking $96k in Miami
