I HAVE THIS 2001 FERRARI 360 SPIDER F1 IN THE SHOP WITH THE SOFT TOP NOT PROPERLY WORKING. THE CAR CAME IN WITH THE TOP DOWN. THE TOP WORKS THE WINDOWS AND THEN THE COVER SLIDES UP, THE SOFT TOP LIFTS UP AND THE COVER SLIDES VERY VERY SLOW, AND WILL NOT CLOSE PROPERLY THEN IT SEEMS LIKE IT JUST STOPS. I FIRST THOUGHT IT WAS BINDING UP BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE CAR NEEDS TO BE PLACED ON THE FERRARI TESTER TO CHECK THE SOLONOIDS. I HAVE NO CODES OR CHECK ENGING LIGHT ON SO I AM ASKING FOR SOME HELP.
Sounds to me like the soft top hydraulic system is low in fluid.
Pump and reservoir are in the door-jam panel behind the passenger seat below the roll bar hoop.
Fluid is special...ZH-M same as Mercedes suspension.
If you require pics of the gear behind the panel, let me know.
Wanted: Ferrari seats in good condition. Custom automotive themed furniture. Couches, bar stools, office chairs, beds… all types of items for your home, created out of authentic parts from your favorite marquee. Examples posted at www.loomis-design.com Contact Robert J.
