Default Italian team GPC Giesse Squadr

Italian team GPC Giesse Squadra Corse will be entering two Ferrari 575 M Maranello cars in the 2005 FIA GT Championship with long-time duo Jean-Denis Deletraz and Andrea Piccini, returning to Ferrari after two years with Lister and Lamborghini.

The Italo-Swiss duo raced for BMS Scuderia Italia in 2002, and was the first to give the team a win with the Ferrari 550, climbing to the top of the podium four times that year, and fighting for the title.

"I think we have a good possibilities with this car," Piccini comments. "It's the fourth year that Jean-Denis and I have driven together. We know each other very well, we always work well together, so I am sure we will do the same this year. The team is great, and has a very good image.

"Last year, they did a fine job, with excellent race
strategy. The car has seen some evolutions, and I think it will be possible to fight with everyone. We are confident and will do our best."
