JMB RACING USA SCORES AN ENCOURAGING TOP TEN FINISH AT MIAMI GRAND PRIX

Miramar, March 8 2005: The JMB Racing USA Ferrari No. 11 co-driven by Mike Zoi, Constantino Bertuzzi and Matt Plumb finished tenth in GT class in the Rolex Sports Car Series Miami Grand Prix last Saturday, an encouraging result for the Miramar, Florida based team.

On Friday afternoon, Mike Zoi qualified the car for the race and even though he was racing in his first Grand American international competition, managed to qualify the car with a respectable time allowing the team to concentrate on their strategy for Saturday's race.

On Saturday, the rain left South Florida and the famous Florida sun came back to shine in anticipation of a great GT battle with 25 entered GT cars in the race and 47 cars total, confirming the increasing popularity of the Rolex Series, the fastest growing sportscar series, in each class of competition.

Zoi took the start of the race and immediately was able to keep up with the high level GT competition. Mike did an excellent job avoiding all the accidents on the track throughout the first 47 minutes of the race.

Constantino Bertuzzi, who was racing in his first event with JMB Racing USA at Homestead, replaced Zoi behind the wheel of the Ener 1 Group / Splinex / Enerdel / FX Performance / Auto Gallery / Cheyne Capital /duPont Registry / Cobalt Friction / Motul Ferrari and, thanks to his efficient piece of driving, was immediately able to pass some of the GT competitors to gain precious track positions. Unfortunately, as it so often happens during that type of endurance racing competition where the more powerful prototypes and GTs share the track together, Constantino was pushed by one of the DP cars and was forced to slowly come back to the pits with a damaged front fender and wheel; an unfortunate accident that cost almost two laps for the Ferrari team.

Matt Plumb took over the car after Bertuzzi for the last third of the race and continued to pass competitors until the checkered flag waved at the Grand Prix of Miami to finish tenth in class.

After finishing their second race in a row, this result, which allowed the team to enter the top ten of the 2005 Rolex Series points standing, is motivational for the JMB Racing USA team, the only team so far representing the Ferrari marque this season in the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series.

The JMB USA team will continue its development on its Ferrari 360 Grand American GT for the next event, the Grand American 400 at Fontana, California, Sunday, April 3, at the famous California Speedway located not far from Los Angeles.
