308 Cooant Temp Gauge

Looking for a 308 Coolant temp gauge. Prefer it from a QV but I am quite sure they are all of the same.

I've got one out of my 1980 GTS. I switched all my guages to VDO's because some were not working. At the moment I cant remeber if the temp was good or not. I Can get a photo to you if you'd like. Any idea how to test it?
