My new 2008 spyder with the F 1 shifter always starts in automatic mode. I contacted my dealer and I am told that all new 2008 s are this way. I find it annoying and counter intuitive. Does anyone know of a computer download to make this the other way. It seems it should always start in the non automatic mode. I do not like to push the automatic button every time I drive the car.
so sorry that is the way it is on these crazy cars. start in auto mode and then shift
into manual mode. PS, DO NOT TURN CAR OFF IN IST GEAR. DID IT ONCE AND
HAD TO ROCK CAR BACK AND FORTH IN ORDER TO GET IT BACK IN NETURAL.
CAR WAS ON A SMALL INCLINE AND STUCK BETWEEN GEARS. THANK GOD IT
WENT BACK IN NETURAL OR ELSE CALL FOR FERRARI ROAD SIDE SERVICE
