just signed up and saying Hello!

not a Ferrari owner yet but sure would like to be..

I have pretty much decided to order a 458 as soon as they can be..appears this will be awhile yet though..

Any tips on how to be sure to get one on the initial allocation ? I'm in Canada..

does anyone on here drive their Ferrari in a cold winter climate? My office is a mere 3 miles from home so I would like to drive her all year round..

Presently drive an R8 - with 4 snow tires and all wheel drive this car handles amazingly well in wet snow conditions..

for those deep snow days I'll get a ride with others..

guess I could get a winter beater also..

Welcome, Keyser!

Well, I could be wrong, but I thought new Ferraris were only available to those on the list. To get on the list, you have to buy a used car from an official Ferrari dealer, then show an interest in purchasing a new car from them as well. I understand also, that the MSRP is out the door, and added costs are applied. Maybe that was the old days? I don't really know. Anyway, I hope you get your car! Driving an R8 must be fun - even in the snow.

I hope you are wrong - local dealer never said anything about having to buy a used car first - that's not something I;m prepared to do - hope they arent that snotty about who can own one - I like the car but it;s just a car - already will be a big price increase over the V10 R8..

I had toyed with going for a V10 R8 but my mileage is very low and I dont want a huge loss flipping for a F458 so figure just buy the 458 now..
