JRV: Nice to see that you are getting sponsors.
May I make a suggestion? Have the sponsor's banner appear FULLY when going into F-Talk. The banner is off to the right, and I must physically move the screen to see it completely. Maybe you could put the sponsor's banner to the left side, and have the 550 off to the right!!!!! Just my thoughts on what initial observation I had, when viewing the sponsor's banners. |

The banners are sized to fit a resolution of 1024x768. At that screen resolution your browser needs to be just about full screen to see them properly with normal sized fonts.
If you are running low resolution with larger than the default font sizes, you will have to scroll over. Ofcourse I could cut the 575 out of the banner alltogether and shrink things that way. Jay |

Hi Henry,
do you have a 15" monitor or larger? If so Jay suggested to me yesterday that I go into Windows and change the resolution larger like he says. At first it looked wierd, but as I began to get used to the new size I started to like it. Letus know what you think because everyones feedback is essential to get the site set up for best user friendliness. Regards, JRV |

Jay: Thanks for the explanation. Maybe it is only my screen. I never changed the resolution......don't even know how!!!!!! If the resolution is changed, will the lettering of the context be smaller? I would prefer them to be as they are, and not smaller.
It would be interesting to see if others have this same view of the banners. |

Henry,
try this. go to your front screen, right click, go to properties, then to settings, move the scroll bar fron 600x400 to 11whatever x 748? then use it in the new size for a short while to see if you can get used to it. If not then maybe changes on the banner is best. Regards, JRV |

JRV: Thanks.....I just tried what you suggested. As I thought, the lettering is smaller. I prefer the size I had 800 by 600, with larger letters, since my main interest is in the contents of the forum......and I AM getting older.....hahaha!!!!!!!!!
If the sponsor's banner was placed to the left of the F-Talk banner, then I think this would be a mute issue, regardless of what size the user chooses. My monitor is 17 inch, and the computer is about 3 years old. |

JRV,
I tried e-mailing at the address in the link above, but it keeps getting bounced back. I am interested in placing an ad, and have been offering discounts all along to F-Talk members. What is the next step I need to take to get a banner ad up on your site? Thanks in advance. Brent |
