I suspect those figures relate to cars sold at auction. Don't know about the UK, but in Oz Ferrari sold at auction tend to be the poor ones. The good ones change hands privately. I paid the equivalent of about 45Kpounds for mine back in 2001.

The Manheim Gold Book, a reasonably reliable price source for classic cars, is showing a carbed BB512 at the following prices:
Good $72K Excellent $105K Show $115K This seems high to me. Surely, these have not risen to these prices or maybe I am missing something. http://www.manheimgold.com/car_lo.html |

Drew,
"sales" prices have been climbing no doubt about it, but those numbers look pretty hard to achieve in the real world. But for insurance purposes of replacement value that would be a good source for anyone wanting to up their coverage. |
