FERRARI MASERATI TITLE SPONSOR OF GRAND AMERICAN SPORTS CAR EVENT AT CALIFORNIA SPEEDWAY
Ferrari Challenge and Historic Challenge to highlight race weekend

FONTANA, Calif. (March 29, 2005) --- California Speedway and Ferrari Maserati North America Inc., today announced the title sponsorship of the Grand American Sports Car 400-kilometer event at the Speedway on Sunday, April 3.

The Ferrari Maserati 400 is the main event during the Grand American Road Racing Association weekend at California Speedway on April 1-3, 2005.

California Speedway Vice President of Marketing and Sales Roger Curtis made the announcement.

"California Speedway is very excited to have Ferrari Maserati join us during the Grand American weekend," Curtis said. "With Ferrari and Maserati's historical role in the sports car culture as well as their numerous wins throughout the world of motorsports, this new relationship is an ideal fit for Southern California and the Grand American weekend."

Both brands have shown an incredible amount of versatility through racing success with wins on all racing fronts - on the track, on the road, in hill-climbs, in Grand Prix and in endurance racing.

"Racing is at the heart of both Ferrari and Maserati and that which makes them special. Each has a great heritage of racing in the United States, but it is important that we honor our history by continuing to take part in competition. Therefore, we are proud to play the role of title sponsor for the Ferrari Maserati 400," commented Maurizio Parlato, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ferrari North America.

In 2003, Maserati entered the Grand American ranks for the first time and won the GT class Manufacturer's Championship in the No. 33 Ferrari 360 GTC. Maserati's Trofeo Light is a development of the Trofeo Coupe, and is built by Maserati Corse, racing arm of the Maserati factory. The Trofeo Light makes extensive use of lightweight body panels to achieve the GT Class minimum weight of 2,250 lbs, and is powered by a 430bhp, 4.2 litre V8 engine.

The Ferrari Maserati 400 will feature both Daytona Prototypes and Grand Touring class during the two hour and 45 minute time limit event on Sunday, April 3. These cars will weave through the 21-turn, 2.8-mile auto competition course for an 89 lap, 400-kilometer event.

In addition to the weekend's main event and the Grand-Am Cup Series 200, there will be a Ferrari Challenge and Historic Challenge presented by Ferrari Maserati. The Ferrari Challenge, Ferrari's own racing series, was created to allow Ferrari customers to enjoy their cars in a structured competitive environment, racing against other Ferrari owners. The Ferrari Historic Challenge is a racing series for Ferraris, Maseratis and Scuderia Ferrari Alfa Romeos, held at racetracks in North America to offer owners of these historic racers the opportunity to compete against other owners in a controlled racing series.

Individual tickets and weekend packages for the April 1-3 Ferrari Maserati 400 weekend are currently on sale. For more information, call 800-944-RACE [7223] or visit www.californaispeedway.com.
