Meeting place: Jillian’s parking lot 7620 Katy Freeway. We will leave Jillian’s parking lot at 1:30PM headed for 290.
Just before Brenham we will turn Right on 577. Travel 1-1/2 mi. to the Blue Bell Creamery on the right hand side for a quick ice cream break at the factory store. The factory is not open on the weekends.
Then the run continues!! Turning Right out of the Blue Bell parking lot we will continue on 577 another 1-2 mi. to Highway 105. We will turn Right on HW 105 traveling approx. 2 mi. to HW 50. We will take HW 50 North approx. 10-12 mi. to Independence, Texas. At Independence, turn Left on HW 390. Travel 9 mi. to HW 36 and head South to Brenham. Take the by-pass around the West side of Brenham (joins 290E). Continue on 290 East to Chappell Hill approx. 8 miles from Brenham to FM 1371 (lots of turns and hills). At buckhorn turn Right on FM1456 and go about 7 mi. to Bellville town square. Go around the courthouse to SH36 South toward Sealy. About 1 mi. from town square, At the “blinking yellow light” turn Right on FM 2429. Continue on FM 2429 approx. 3.6 mi. to FM 949. Turn Right on FM 949 to Cat Spring approx 5 miles to Carol’s Restaurant on the Right hand side past the railroad tracks.
