Default HELLO FRIENDS OF THE WORLD'

HELLO FRIENDS OF THE WORLD'S BEST CARS...

I AM FROM GERMANY AND I LIVE HALF A YEAR IN CAPE CORAL, FLORIDA.
NOW, I WOULD LIKE TO BRING MY GERMAN 360 SPIDER TO MY HOME IN FLORIDA AND WANT TO LEAVE THE CAR THERE FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS.
SO; I NEED TO REGISTER THE CAR IN FLORIDA!
WHO CAN GIVE ME ANY KIND OF INFORMATION ABOUT HOW TO DO THAT, THE BEST WOULD BE A CONTACT PERSON IN MY AREA... OR A DEALER WHO DOES THAT WORK FOR ME...

LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR HELP

TOBIAS

My understanding is that as a foreign national you can bring the car in for 1 year. After that you have to export it.

Converting it so that it can remain in the US would involve federalization and duty.

Default I understand that I do have to

I understand that I do have to pay duty...

I am a foreign national but I have a investor visa and a permanent home adress in Florida... I already have a couple of cars at my home in florida, all with a us-registration...

but i need to know how much it will cost to get the registration for my german car... I had such a problem with my ferrari 512TR 10 years ago! i brought the car to florida, but I didn't find a dealer who gets the car ready to register in the US... the end of the story was that i had to sip it back to germany...
