Alan,
I've been looking for a good Euro glass car for quite some time and have come up empty. I've pretty much given up. I did find some that were US versions that had the Euro conversions done to them, but I wanted an original. Cheers |

Thanks, Chuck I HAVE seen yours, and it looks good but was trying to stay non cat as well as carb. No Schmidt called me back this morning with a sell offer of $35.9K. No books, no records.
The Euro at Bonhams Gstaas was that last I've seen on the market, and went for a premium price, but heck, it has some HISTORY as well as mildew! I'm talking now on a Red/Black '76 US Car, Taek, we may have to settle and build the engine ourselves! |

Alan,
What did that lime-green GTB at Bonhams sell for? I'm curious. It would be hard for me to comment on the selling price you mentioned. I know that asking prices for the fiberglass GTBs have gone up in the two years since I purchased mine. There are so few on the market and asking prices have been all over the place. My car's "sister," also one of the first four imported here, had an asking price of 42,000, when it was put up for sale a few months ago. I know the owner and his was a very original US version like mine which won a "Best Closed Ferrari" award at last year's FCA Pocono concours. His had all books, tools and records. He relied on my car as an example to source some correct interior items he needed. I'm not sure what his car sold for. Have you driven a fiberglass GTB? I think it would be very similar to your 1977 steel version. The lighter fiberglass body might be noticeable to you. Barry |

Man THAT soulnds like a good deal I missed out on.
Never driven a glass one, but mechanically should be identical to mine. The one in Gstaad was about 44K Swiss Francs, if I remember, and don't even know if it ran! The bank that seized the cars left them in an underground garage. I'm just looking to start over with a new car, mine's going in for paint after a wreck. |
