Don't put test pipes on. If you get caught, it's a 10k fine. If you want a little more performance, put on the high flow cats, they're about 1.5k, and will provide about the same performance as the test pipes.

Nape. I made money off the deal. Someone else paid the fine, and me. I got the fine reduced but it was costly for him. Initially they were after 10k, got it cut to 1k. Better off with the high flow cats, you'll pay for them one way or the other.

By the way, they have sensors along the roadways, with cameras to catch cars without the emissions. Not smart to try to avoid this.

Can you explain this in detail. This is the first time I have heard this. How can the gov't possibily determine if I have a cat on a car as I drive by on the road. Sounds like BS to me. Now a physical inspection is a different story.
