Default I just picked up a 84 Mondial,

I just picked up a 84 Mondial, The past owner was to mail the owners manual and records to me two weeks ago, OK I already know that was dumb. The car runs great, major just done. I did the 1500 mile run from Phoenix to Memphis with out missing a beat. My problem is I don't know the systems on the car. (1) No console readings on any of the montering systems. IE Oil level water level etc. How can I check the oil level. It does not have a regular dip stick. Tran oil etc. (2) The climate control system seems out of order. I am getting air only from the main A/C center vents. I don't feel the compressor coming on line. Can anyone help me with a wiring diagram. This car has more relays than Carter has liver pills. I have already rebuilt the headlight switch which would turn the light off with the lightest touch, man that a really stupid design. My last Ferrari was a 246 and that one was about a simple as it gets.

Default Hi Roy, welcome aboard. Let

Hi Roy, welcome aboard.

Let's address the issues in order.

>> (1) No console readings on any of the montering systems. -- Hmmm..??? the board could be disconnected or bypassed.

>>IE Oil level water level etc. How can I check the oil level. It does not have a regular dip stick. --- Open engine lid, disconnect small electrical plug on dipstick, pull out and check like regular 308's

>>Tran oil etc. --- put car on a lift, open filler hole and see if fluid runs out.

>>Coolant--- let engine cool, remove header tank cap & do a visual for fluid.

>>>(2) The climate control system seems out of order. I am getting air only from the main A/C center vents. I don't feel the compressor coming on line. ---- if the system is low or empty of freon the comp. will not come on due to low pressure safety switch on reciever dryer located in the front left trunk, under the cover.

HTH's

Regards, JRV

Default Mondial owner manual

he Dave

you refer to a Ferrari owners site to register so you can download the mondial owners manual. I happen to be a owner of a mondial and I don't have the manual. So thats a good suggestion for me. Where can I find this Ferrari Owners site you are refering to.
Is a repair manual the same as a owner manual (maybe you've noticed: i'm new to the guilt of ferrari owners....)

best regards

marc
