Default Hi JRV :-) I found a co

Hi JRV :-)

I found a couple of 1995 355's that are worth considering and when I looked at pictures from the engine compartments I found one that has two bottles by the fire wall that I have not seen on other 355's. I am guessing that they might be a power steering fluid update ala Challenge series to prevent the fluid from boiling. Can you enlighten me? Thanks.

Default Hi Carm, I really can't

Hi Carm,

I really can't make out the items circled very well. I enhanced the image and the one on the right looks like a fuel filter...were they silver, aluminum looking cylindrical pieces?

Yes, JRV, they are silver, aluminum looking cylindrical pieces. I haven't seen them on other 1995 355's or any newer model 355's. I just sent you an email with original file attached. Thanks for your respone.

Default Hi Carm, looked t the other

Hi Carm,

looked t the other photo you sent, same thing, I can't quite make them out well enough for a definative conclusion. It's very possible that they are fuel filters relocated with new lines as part of the factory recall update. 355's were catching on fire because of fuel leaks from the lines or filters being placed to close to the red hot, glowing, cracking headers, and Ferrari had to issue a secret recall/update. The recall was secret because like in that valve guide thread where the guy posted the link with a conversation with FNA that Ferrari only builds perfect machines.

Regards, JRV

Default Carm, thinking about it &am

Carm,

thinking about it & reviewing the pics I'm fairly sure those are relocated fuel filters to get them away from the headers. A VERY good idea inspite of Ferrari's perfect idea of running fuel right next to hot exhaust...

Regards, JRV

Default JRV, Thank you very much for y

JRV, Thank you very much for your responses. I am hoping to find a good 1995 355 by this spring. Once I do I will certainly be ordering some parts from you, I am very impressed with the specialized components you are making available to us like the Skid Plates. Please continue to keep us aware of the new items you have made or are in the process of making that will make our ownership that much more rewarding.
