Default 308 Dizzy Rotor replacement

Well I needed to check on my 30 year old dizzy rotors so I pulled one out and it was cracked. So about a year ago I bought this look-a-like rotor from my local foreign parts place. It is a BECK ARNLEY part # 173-2411. It looks almost like the one on my 77 308 GTB. So below is the picture and here is the difference. As a referance the overall hight is the same and the center electrode location is the same as stock.

OEM BeckArnley
Overall Length 2.161 In. 2.066 In.
Brass Tab Width .316 In. .443 In.
Brass Tab Exposed .166 In. .096 In.
Shaft I.D. .307 In. .315 In.

So I put a .005" shim in the shaft hole and put it on the dizzy. Works like a charm even with the shorter brass tab length (spark jump is greater) and the wider brass tab. I believe that I paid $6 or $7 for each one. If you want to modify it to look exactly like the OEM I bet you could do it but I just came back from a Fcar tune up and is runs as good as with the OEM part. So here is the picture . Oh I have a twin Pertronix's setup in one dizzy and I am using Bosch Blue Coils. Enjoy.
