Is there an advantage to adding an oil cooler fan or a engine fan similar to GM trucks off the water pump or main crank?

Oil cooler might be helpful for hot days in stop and go. Same for the engine fan.

Any thoughts?

I think an oil cooler fan could be helpful, but it should be electrically run, so that it can be thermostatically controlled. You don't want it running all the time; your oil may not reach operating temp. This is something I don't care for on the 308/328/Mondial series, the oil cooler has no thermostat in the oil lines, so the oil is always running through the cooler, which really delays warm up in the winter.

Default A friend of mine has done this

A friend of mine has done this. It helped on his car. He ran a small hayden electric fan and ran the switch in the cabin. His QV would always run a little warm oil temp wise. After adding the fan he can go out on the track without worry. He set it up as a puller on the back of the cooler.

I would sure agree with the cold oil issue. One thing I did on several 3o8's in a shop scenario, was to trim a piece of foam rubber that fit snug into the side scoop, pushing in from the outside. Easily removable, it can also be left in place on cold days, without any harm to the car. Black is an excellent color, as it is difficulet to see when in place. Keep it reasonably clean,so no dirt scratches are a problem

Here is a plug I have made from high density foam that pops into the cooler inlet on my 308. Very handy for drives in weather below 50 degrees. With the plug installed I can run the same weight oil year round.

HELP!.. Hi, i'm new to this forum and Ferrari ownership. I have recently purchased a '77 308 Dino GT4, but the car has no identification for usuage for the fuses/relays. The horn/interior lights/headlight motor and alarm have all packed up - the rad. fans may also have been affected. Many thanks in advance for any advice given. }
