Default Any tips on replacing the 308

Any tips on replacing the 308 shift shaft seal o-rings? The way I understand it is you remove dipstick tube then the sump and transmission cover. Undo the bolt in the fork holding the shaft to the shifter linkage in front. Undo the bolt holding the shaft to the selector inside the transmission. Jack up the rear of the transmision to allow the shaft to be withdrawn. Replace the o-rings and reassemble.

Close?

Thanks,
Stacy

Any idea what the dimensions for the o-rings are? I have ordered a couple from ferrari but I understand that 'Viton' o-rings are better and might try to source a couple if I knew what size.

Thanks

Default Stacey, I don't know t

Stacey,

I don't know the sizes, some of the other guys here might. I order most of my parts from the Factory unless I know for certian I can use an alternative that is without a doubt better than the original.

A lot of the time experimenting is not the best option unless the experiment can be reversed quickly and easily..
