Okay, yes, I have a lot of questions today!
I used my windsheild wipers for the first time (I repositioned the arms and oiled the shafts). When I move the switch to intermitant position, I hear a clicking from behind the driver's side instrument panel (relay?). Then the wipers operate, but not in intermitant mode. Moving the stalk to continuous mode does nothing (as they are already in continuous mode!). I know I have to clean contacts (the wipers probably have not been used much), but what was this relay-like noise and why would the wipers not opertate in intermitant mode - very dirty wiper contact switch? Thanks again, Anthony |

When placed in the intermittant position on my '78 308 the wipers will run continuously for 5 or 6 swipes to clear the window and will then start the intermittant mode. The switch on the console controls the speed of continuous operation if I remember correctly.
The clicking is the relay that controls the intermittant operation and will click with each swipe. Hope this helps, DJ |
