My tach is only showing 2000 RPM when
it has to be up near 6000. It appears
normal at idle. Any quick fix.

Robert, I had the same problem. You need to remove the tach, and send it to a speedometer shop for repair. There is a component on the circuit board that fails. I sent mine to Palo Alto Speedometer. Repair was around $150 plus shipping both ways.
