I just installed a muffler from a 348 spider on my 91 tb and have ordered Powerchips for the car. My question is this , the first 2 times I started the car it "searched" for idle bouncing between 1000 and 2000 RPMs now it idles fine however when I slowed down to make a turn the other night the car killed, and did it one other time when I slowed down for a stop light. any thoughts?

Frank,

disconnect the battery, then run the 10 minute relearn process and see if that helps, it should, unless another issue we are not aware of exists.

Sorry I didn't explain .

Disconnect the battery ground cable (at the battery, NOT the disconnect switch) for a minute or so..reconnect fully ...then..with all accesories off, start the engine, "without touching the throttle", and allow to idle all on it's own for approx. 10 minutes (while watching the gauges of course ).

This "resets" the Computers "Relearn", "Adaptive Logic" Idle Parameters. From this relearn input data the Computers will have adapted to any changes in system config, such as a different exhaust system.
