From idle up to around 2500 rpm, the throttle response of my 1994 355 is very though.
This is really problematic in the city and the Ferrari dealer told me that as this car was one of the first ones, the cartography of the EMU is different (more power). How can we solve the problem (is this the throttle bodies balancing, the air control valve ...) Many thanks ! |

When was the last time you had the fuel filters changed? You could have a clogged filter or filters. Also was the battery disconnected recently? If it was you may need to have the ECU relearn the warm up process. Try disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes. Then reconnect it, and let the car warm up from cold until the cooling fans come on at least twice. When you do this do not touch anything at all, let it run by itself. It is best to do this in the morning after the car has sat all night. Any time the battery is disconnected this needs to be done. See if that works.

The early throttle bodies are known to have sticking problems from idle when trying to accelerate slowly. First thing (besides compression) to check is the movement of the throttles themselves, and the free movement of the throttle cable. This could just be a case where some cleaning and lubrication will work.
