Default Hi Allan, sounds like fluid

Hi Allan,

sounds like fluid from the throw out bearing.

You have to pull the center muffler, the bell housing, then disassemble the TO Bearing Assembly and install a set of new seals.

Is it hard to do? Anybody have any step by step instructions? Or is it just a common sense job?

Default Allan, actually it is a rat

Allan,

actually it is a rather striaght forward easy job. How many miles on the car? Is it time for a clutch while you're in there?

I have some pics somewhere of a 355 clutch job, I'll see if I can find them.

In the mean time keep the Brake Fluid resivoir topped up.

Regards, JRV

Default Allan, before you get to ca

Allan,

before you get to carried away, confirm that's it's brake fluid leaking out. If it is, then it is the Annular TO Bearing seals leaking.

From there you need to order a seal kit and what ever other parts you think you might need.

Uhhhhh...guess I should ask the obvious question before going further....Is it a manual trans?...

Default Yes its a 6 speed, with about

Yes its a 6 speed, with about 7,000 miles. I went and looked today and it had not leaked. Do you think it just happened because the car sat for 2 weeks? Im pretty sure it was brake fluid, as it was clear. Btw, did i tell you how much i love Ferrari's?

Default Allan, I think only having

Allan,

I think only having 7K miles is the problem.....you're not paying enough attention to it. Now go out and kiss it and tell it you luv it.
