Default The timing belt and associated

The timing belt and associated bearings need to be replaced at 30,000 miles (48,000 Km) or every 5 years whichever is sooner.

Of course, you still also want to change all the fluids (brake fluid, clutch fluid, transmission fluid, engine oil) on a yearly basis.

The perfered way is to drop the whole rear subframe and to the work on the engine in the cradle out of the car. This give one free access not just to the belts and bearings, but makes it easy to set the cam timing, and inspect any/all of the rubber hoses and other things that might need some attention.

However, many drop the gas tank and perform the work with the engine in the car. This works fine as long as you don't need access to any of the rubber components (water hoses,...) that might be nearing the end of their trouble free lives.

Default I also forgot to mention that

I also forgot to mention that you should do a full visual inspection of the engine for leaks in the cam seals, and be prepaired to change them at the belt service.

Default If by "clutch shaft" y

If by "clutch shaft" you mean the coaxial shaft from the clutch to the transmission. And this part keeps breaking, I suspect the problem lies within the transmisison (althoug it might be found within the dual mass flywheel).
