Has anyone had this problem? The car idles good it just has no power? It has codes P1149 and P1189 stored in it memory. When I clear the code the cars runs great yet they come back. I beleive it has something to do with the accelerator pedal sensor. Any suggestions?
P1149=pedal pontentiometer signal1
P1189= pedal position signal
Remove the trim from around your throttle pedal. Disconect the plug from the pedal pontentiometer (big barrel mounted sideways to the pedal) clean it out with wd40 and re-connect. They get issues with resistance build up. Also check your battery voltage as it causes throttle issues, and also check the plugs are fitted securely (pull back the rubber boots to check) on the throttles themselves. If you still can't get it to work pm me and i'll give you some more tests.
