Default Ever since July, when I starte

Ever since July, when I started driving my 1997 550, there have been intermittent "pauses" in the torque and power-- delivered to the wheels-- due, it seems, to the ASR system engaging. The effect is worrisome, as it always seems to happen on a freeway onramp or when I'm trying (and needing) to accelerate. What will happen is that the engine seems to stall and then suddenly, there is a burst of acceleration, as though an automatic transmission has kicked in on a downshift. And all of this is happening even when the ASR is disengaged and I'm going down a straight road or have just finished coming around a corner! Usually, the problem seems worse when there is less than a half tank of gas, which makes me wonder if there's a fuel-related sensor at work? Denver Ferrari's service people think that there might be problems with magnetic sensors on the wheels or electrical contact problems. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Thanks. Happy holidays and a safe 2005 to you all!

Default Hard to give a real answer to

Hard to give a real answer to this on he net! However, yes dirty wheel speed connections or even a low tire can cause these type of problems. I would first insure ALL the tires are fully inflated.
