Arrow 81 308GTSi header glowing

have a 81 308 in my shop that we did timing belts, valve adjust, sparkplugs, and fuel filters. upon test driving car it is down on power and the rear bank header is hot enough to melt the aluminium heat shield. checked timing with a light and front bank is steady, rear bank is jumping around. any ideas would be appreciated.

Plugged cat converter? Are you running lean on that bank? Check your spark plugs for color. Cam timing and /or Ignition correct after belt change?
