I just bought a 99 355 F1 it has 22k on it and was riding around last night forever looking for a parking space and my check engine light came on also. I flipped out cause the guy I bought from spent 15k on it before I bought it and thought I was good for a while. Do I have anything to worry about or is it just something small like above ?? The closest Ferrari dealer is 150 miles away and not in the finances right now for a large service call !!! Worried or over reacting ??

Try an ORB2 scanner with "can" to read the DTC . You can purchase a code reader for under $40 and it will tell you what diagnostic trouble code that has been set in the ECM.
Also, Autozone will do this for free. Not cool to take a Ferrari to Autozone, but they may tell you what is wrong. ORB 2 is a standard diagnostic coding required in the US for all cars after 1996 |
