My 85 308QV came with an Avital Tornado alarm system. It is acting up at the moment and I have no idea how to bypass it, or go about troubleshooting it. The key clickers are not disarming the alarm at all so the only thing I can do is open the doors and set it off. I can't even start her up.
Anyone have any experience with alarm systems? JL |

I bought new batteries for the clickers today thinking that was the problem. I have found the wiring diagram for the alarm on the net and that has helped me identify some of the wires and components. I have disconnected the battery with no luck, and will disconnect the alarm from the battery and see if that helps.

Well, I tried disconnecting the alarm from the battery. No luck.
Maybe I should just take her down to Mobile One and have them install a new alarm and be done with it. Or have them remove the alarm altogether? Just kidding in case my insurance agent is monitoring the site. |
