Default Does anyone have personal expe

Does anyone have personal experience with a residential type, 4 post lift? I've looked at serveral (Backyard Buddy, Perfect Park 7000, Pro-Park 7, Autolifters M6, & Rotary SM7) but would like to know about anyone's real-life experience with any one of these (or another brand). My objective is to be able to use it to perform service on the car plus increase the parking space in the garage by being able to put a car under one on the lift. Thanks for your replies.

Mark. PM Tambi Otto. She and her husband have lifts in their garage. Very cool IMO. Wish I had a higher ceiling to allow the use of one.

I just bought a Bend Pak 9000lb 4 post lift, very impressed with it, excellent air operated safety locks, although they are expensive i think they are among the best you can buy

Default Steve, What model Bend Pak

Steve,

What model Bend Pak lift did you puchase? Any clearance issues getting your Ferrari on it?

I'm leaning towards a Mohawk System 1 two-post lift...and maybe a 4-post, a well. Or maybe just a 4-post...

Can't seem to make up my mind...

Thanks,
David

Default I have the new Bend Pak 9000 a

I have the new Bend Pak 9000 as well. It replaced their 7000 lift last fall and meets all reqiurements that would allow it to be used in a auto repair shop. The hydraulic release is nice, but you must have a compressor. Drive on clearance is no problem and they come in 2 widths. I got the wider one because I saw pics of a Viper on the narrow one and it was a tight fit on the tracks.
I got a deal through the NSX club last year and paid the price of the 7000 lift for it because they were just converting over.
I got the lift, casters, jack stand and 3 drip trays for $2400 delivered. I had an installer pick it up at the freight terminal and install it for another $400.

Default Yes, confirming JL's post-

Yes, confirming JL's post- we have two lifts in our garage. That is what happens when two Ferrari club members and owners meet… and marry. The combination of our respective Ferraris and other various autos – caused us to purchase a home whereas we could accommodate all of our babies. The lifts have turned our garage into a five-car garage – and with court-yard parking for another five – we are very happy!
After much research and many recommendations, we purchased from American Custom Lifts. Our lifts have the rounded four posts with all the trays, ramps, etc.
Since we park a Lusso and SWB on top and a 355 F1 Spider and BMW M3 below - we were very picky about what the cars would be ON and UNDER.
We did however have to raise our garage 5 feet and put in a new custom garage door that when it is raised would clear the top of the cars that are parked on the lifts above.
And like Doug - we paid additional for an installer. It took two days to install both and we had the lifts bolted to the garage floor. I/We love them. As a female I can operate them with ease by myself and feel very comfortable with the lifts. It is certainly a personal taste & price choice – but I am certain you will be just as happy with your lifts once you get one or more in place.

Default David Its a HD10ST, 10000 lb

David
Its a HD10ST, 10000 lb lift, I got it for the same price as the smaller model, but it was the best option for me as my garage is slightly narrower than I would like, no problem with clearance, the ramps are 4" off ground when lowered and the mounting ramps are 3 foot long, ramp width is 19" and overall width from outer sides of both ramps is 76" it really is a very tidy piece of kit.
