Default Does anyone have a line on how

Does anyone have a line on how to get Avon CR28 tires here in the States? I don't particulalry want to get Michellins. I had a source but they told me Cooper Tire no longer imports Avons. I have 390 wheels on a Euro 308 and no, I don't want to get 16" wheels.

To be honest, I always found the FCA Tech site far more valuable than F-chat, and virtualy no crap to wade thru.

David,

have you and rob thought about taking out a banner add here???

would save you untold time and energy from advertising in individual posts.

Default I have not thought about it.

I have not thought about it. I don't know about Rob, I don't converse with him... :-)

I realize now that Al is cross posting, and it was his thread that was started simultaneously over on the "other" Ferrari site. How was that JRV? :-)

Default I really hate to say this, ho

I really hate to say this, however, for guys that don't want the hassles of finding good tires an upgrade to 16's really is the way to go. The tire companies really are forcing this issue by refusing to supply tires in sizes that fit the older cars. I've even had major grief lately finding some sizes in 15's.

Regards, JRV

Default According to several tire sour

According to several tire sources Avon tires are no longer available in the States and haven't been for over a year. I'll have to go with the Michellins. I'll most likely go the 16" wheel route next time, although having a set of 390 wheels collecting dust in the garage bugs me.
