After a sprited drive up the motorway (freeway) I have blown a hole about 2 inches by 3 inches in the lower centre silencer of my 365BB. I have searched around for a replacement and not found anything yet, but I have had an idea to fit a complete Tubi system, less the manifolds (headers), as a replacement. Has anyone here done this? I am concerned about the noise level with the Tubi. A Boxer is not a very relaxing car on a motoroway at the best of times. Will a Tubi make the exhaust just too loud? What will my next door neighbours say when I start it up?

Advice please.

Simon,

I have a Tubi on my 365...It is not appreciably louder than the Ansa sport mufflers I had on the car previously. At a steady state cruise, the car is actually quieter. Installation is easy....and can be removed for clutch work in less than 45 minutes. Overall, I'm very pleased...

Regards,
David

Although pricey, the fit and finish of Tubi mufflers is unmatched.

Default Simon, That looks really good.

Simon, That looks really good. Tempting, but I do rather like the white, LeMans-style paint on the original equipment. Is there much difference in price? Did you enquire about availability of the standard parts from Ferrari UK?
Regardless, I'd be highly interested in hearing the results!

The system is NLA (no longer available) from Ferrari UK, hence my search for a stainless system which ended with a Tubi.

My car has the original exhaust system at the moment and it is black, not white though.
