Default Got caught in the rain yesterd

Got caught in the rain yesterday in my Boxer and noticed that the "lower" mini wiper was not contacting the windshield very well. What is the best way to adjust it??

Bend the metal mounting tab downward? See arrow on the photo I took.

Default Gary - do not bend the wiper.

Gary - do not bend the wiper.

There are two attachment points in front of the windshield. One of them has an asymmetric washer, that when rotated, adjusts the relative height of the smaller blade. If this does not become evident to you when you take a look, let me know and I can provide more detail.

Jim,

Can you provide some more details? I don't see any sort of a tapered washer on either mounting point. Here's a photo.

Default Gary - both of my "washers

Gary - both of my "washers" (spacers really) are angled. These are the thick spacers that sit against the paint in your picture. It is difficult to be certain, but it appears that your larger shaft (main blade) has an angled spacer against the paint. The smaller shaft might also. By rotating these spacers one changes the geometry of the blade such that it can be adjusted to wipe smoothly against the glass.

I have attached pictures.

Never knew that about the Boxer wiper blades. Thanks for the tip. I would have just bent it.

Default Gary - Likely evident without

Gary - Likely evident without saying, but you must loosen the nuts under the shafts to undertake this adjustment.
