Default I'm in the middle of chang

I'm in the middle of changing my plug leads and the centre electrode in my distributor cap is broken. The carbon brush is OK but the spring is broken and has been for some time as there are only about three coils left on it. I have contacted Ferrari UK who say this part is now obsolete. I have repaired this, I think, with the spring out of a Biro pen.

Obviously this is a short term solution (I hope) but does anyone have a source of replacement brushes?

Default Simon, The only source is f

Simon,

The only source is from an old Distrib Cap, a cracked one etc., or to improvise as you already have done. I always kept the old caps over the years for spare parts like the Brush, Spring, Screws. An old cap of any year or model would be a place to find another spring.

It should be fine as long as the brush floats in the socket.

Regards, JRV
