Default Hi, The engine and gearbox

Hi,

The engine and gearbox is one unit on the dino. I believe there isn't a different serial number. When my Dino was judged they didn't look for a transaxel serial number. On my Corvette they do.

Thanks

The reason I ask is that I am trying to get a heritage certificate through the Ferrari owners site and they seem to insist on a gearbox number

OK...I've looked everywhere on this 72 Dino gearbox I have here and there is no seperate serial # anywhere to be found, inside or out.

Sometimes help is needed with the Ferrari Owners site to force an application thru, been there done that, see if Jeff @ FUK can help out.
Regards, JRV

Default For whatever it helps: on a GT

For whatever it helps: on a GT4 I found a stamped-in No (F-106 AL 318) on the bottom of the gearbox, front passenger side.

Default OK,I finally found it. The car

OK,I finally found it. The car needs to be jacked up. It is located on the undersurface of the gearbox case on the righthand side immediately adjacent to the case cover. The number consists of four digits and a single letter. I must say the Ferrari owners site was very efficient at approving the Heritage certificate
