Electrical 308 issues

I'm in the UK and have recently put my 308 gt4 through it's MOT. IT passed but along the way I've had some electrical issues where I've had dead circuits on a headlamp and rear light so I used the opposite lights power to 'get around it'. I now need to correct these problems in the proper manor. I'm concerned that the fuse boxes may be at fault. I have little electrical knowledge so I need a simple and cost effective solution. Would replacing the old with the pucka new boxes been good enough or do I have to create my own fuse box as described in an earlier thread (I'm concerned this could take me a couple of years....). Any help would be gratefully received.

Honestly you are going to have to do some studying and learn the basics of electrical function & the use of some basic tools like a test light. Once you have some understanding of the basics then finding the central issue with your lights should not be that difficult.

The lights are very basic, current flows to the HL switch, and when switched on, to the lights themselves. At the lights are the ground connections.

I start at the fuses & check for power and work my way out.....

Ferrari UK should have stock replacement fuse blocks if you need them.

I would second JRV on this and go back with the OEM fuse blocks. I had troubles with mine after 20 years of age, but the new ones simply plugged in and I was back on the road in minutes!!!

No worries since then!!!

I think I'll start with new fuse blocks to be on the safe side and as your say work my way out.
