Default Electrical problem with my drivers side window controller

Hi, I just replaced the wiring harness on the drivers door on my 1994 348 spider. This harness controls the power mirrors, the door locks and the speakers and finally the power windows(both sides). Everything about the new harness fit. The problem is the new attach to the power windows had seven wires as opposed to my old having 3 wires. I think it should work anyway. The other problem is the old harness had so many frayed wires that I never knew if the windows worked from that switch to begin with. I have tested the following: The actual switch to both the drivers side and the passenger side. 2) The actual motor for the drivers side window. 3) The passenger motor is also good as the passenger side power window switch controls it just fine. 4)Both plugs going into the switches(for driver and passenger) have fire.

Ok, all of that I know. Now, under the dash between the steering wheel and the stereo compartment is some type of relay. This relay has all the wires from these two switches leading into it. This relay clicks every time I operate the passenger side window switch that IS ON the drivers side. The passenger window goes down either way I push the switch. Remember, the passenger side control works fine. Last, the drivers side switch does not make any clicking in this mystery relay or switch or whatever it is. It also does not have any reaction on the window.

Does anyone know if I may need some type of new switches since there are more wires on this plug? If so what type? Or do you know what this mystery relay/switch could be, and does that sound like my problem? Whew! Someone help please!! Thanks, Scott Doak 1doak@tx.rr.com or here.
