F355 Tire Pressure Michelin Sport

My F355 manual shows lower recommended pressure on fronts (28psi) than rears (31psi) for Michelin but the reverse for the other 3 recommended tires. I cannot think of any logical reason for this and wondered if anyone knows if the book is wrong.

logic tells me the rec. press. for Michelin is correct considering the heavier weight at the rear.

That makes sense to me also but why would the only tire shown this way be the Michelin. All the others show higher pressure in the front than the rear. For now I'm running them the same pressure until I know for sure if the manual is correct.

I checked directly with Michelin and their fitment guide recommends 36 psi front and rear. Their reasoning is that the larger rear tires can carry the extra weight as the footprint is larger. Therefore, same pressure for the smaller front tires that carry less weight. I'm now trying 35psi all round. I don't drive my F355 hard. Hope this helps you.

Thank you for the information. Coming from them directly makes me feel more comfortable doing what I have been doin. I'll try 36 and word down from there to see how it feels. I think I'm at 32 now and it feels a bit mushy.

I run 36 psi on all 4 for street driving. I lower the rears to 34 psi when I drive it on the track because the heat from the engine causes the rear's to gain more pressure then the fronts.
