Ferrari Bluetooth
Here's a little option some of you might wish to consider. Most of us live in states that require 'hands free' cellular telephone communication while driving. For those of us driving Ferrari models where bluetooth was not, is not an option, here's a tidbit you might like to consider.
I recently purchased a 'Parrot' Bluetooth hands free kit for my 2001, 360 F1 Spider. Because the 'head' unit is so very small, with minor mods .. I was able to mount the small control panel in my unused ashtray. With all the wiring under the console and carpet, I was able to plug all of the speaker connections directly into the Harmon Kardin factory installed CD/tape player/radio. The mic .. I elected to mount under the steering wheel, room to spare, thereby hiding all the wires under the dash. My main controller unit fit nicely under the dash as well .. making for a very clean installation.
So, the moral of this story is .. Parrot offers a wonderful option to hands free cellular issues. ONE SLIGHT PROBLEM. With the Parrot volume on HIGH, with the top down, even WITHOUT a Tubi .. well, you might opt to pull to the side of the road to complete your cellular telephone call. The cost, under $150.00 total. The upside, when your phone rings, the music volume on your existing radio goes down .. thereby allowing you to answer your call. End the call, the music comes back on. Too cool ! LOL
Happy Ferrari Motoring to all
