I found a good resource for Ferrari parts when I was looking for new plastic for my center console. My 348 TS has the same problem that most end up with...a gummy, tarry, nasty center console. This is due to the plastic actually breaking down over time. http://shop.vendio.com/sodacom/
had the replacement pieces as well as over 550 parts for Ferrari's.

I have heard of people repainting and clearcoating old consoles. I will have the new one clearcoated, and let you know in 10 years if it worked.

If anyone is interested, I'm having some Lexon ones made for the 355 center console. They're $49 each if I can get 20 orders. It's part of a broader project to clean up the interior of my 355 which was in desperate need. Any interest? .. if so drop a note and I'll give details.

Default Rob, ALL the pieces for a 3

Rob,

ALL the pieces for a 348/355 are close to $2800 from the dealers, plus instalation.

You can easily check SodaComs prices by calling Algar for a comparison.

Default Rob .. you're not getting

Rob .. you're not getting ripped off .. as JRV says .... those are Ferrari prices. I think the center console for the 355 is ~ $1640 ... because it includes all the knobs and controls.

All the controls on mine functioned well .. so why replace? I got a high resolution picture of the console bit and am having it silk screen printed on Lexon (plastic ... playing card thickness) ... just the bit that bubbles. It takes about 30 minutes to install and looks pretty good.
The only reason it's $49 is because i can't get enough people together .... it's about $35 if I bought lots.

Default Has anyone replaced the plasti

Has anyone replaced the plastic in a 348? It looks pretty simple to do. I am replacing the uppr, lowe, ashtray, and money tray. It looks as if you start with the 2 screws at the bottom of the ashtray to get the plastic covers off. This one I plan on doing myself...any suggestions?

Default 1. Remove the ashtray, disconn

1. Remove the ashtray, disconnect the ciggy lighter
2. unscrew the shifter gate
3. remove all the pieces

Be extremely careful with HVAC control unit. They are made of unobtanium, and cost > $1000 to replace -- if you can even find one. A good substitute for the center consol pieces might be carbon fiber from Valence USA or Kaz Automotive
