I would like to try a hand at checking the carbs on my 512BB. Which Sychrometer are people using and do I need an adapter for the Boxer carb throats.
Also, with the air filter cover off, it appears that there is a small brace used to mount the filter cover screws that is partially blocking on or two of the throats. I think there is room to use the sycrometer without removing the air filter box. Any help arrpeciated. Drew |

Drew,
I use both types either a traditional Uni-Syn or the newer Manometer type..which ever fits the best without adapters. I think the Manometer type is better in the regards that it doesn't close the throat to take it's reading like the uni-syn does, so it doesn't richen the mixture while it's in place. Glad the timing operation came together. Regards, JRV |
