Default Misfire on 400i

I have this irratating occasional misfire on my 1981 400i
It starts after the car has run a while, (hot) and is mainly at low revs from pull off. I have done all the simple things. New Bosch injectors, new plug leads, new coil.Could it be the ignition box on the bonnet ? That thing looks and sounds expensive. Any ideas ?

Could be a timing issue.
