Default Misfiring Ferrari 308QV

Just got my Ferrari 1983 308QV GTS out of the garage after 2 years storage.

Starts first time and sounds as good as usual. But for some reason when I rev it just past 5000 revs, it starts to misfire and the rev counter needle flicks up and down.

Once I get past 5000 revs all seems fine. This makes driving the car somewhat difficult!

Im wondering if an air pipe has become corroded somewhere. Everything looks fine to me, but one thing I did notice is that a sensor on the Clutch housing has become perrished showing the internal wires.

Any ideas please would be most welcome. The car has covered 40,000 miles

Thnx

Adrian
