Default Mounted the adjustable Konis a

Mounted the adjustable Konis and s/s brake lines today. Overall lowered ride height 1" lower, with ground clearence reduced at rear jack point from 5.75 to 4.75 unladen and 4.5 laden (yes, that would be me). The new units are much lighter than the original shocks/springs (also shown). You can see in the photo the round adjusting knob at the base of the shock and s/s brake line (the other line is the ABS sensing line). The rotors are drilled Brembos to fit the stock caliper. More pictures in upgrades section
Will install distributor tomorrow, hopefully.
best

What was your source for the adjustable koni's? About how much did they cost? Which spring did you use?

Worked with Tate Casey at Carobu - www.carobu.com
Using Eibach 225 lb springs
Was pretty expensive as I used Aluminum - steel is cheaper.

Default Russ, Nice installation

Russ,
Nice installation, but Don't forget to do a corner weight and an aligement. Lowering the ride height will effect the camber and toe. If you want performance, with the driver sitting in the car, try to get the fronts equal and get the rears as close as possible. If you want just a good setup for high perf on the street/track, go for equal diagonal weight. LF+RR = RF+LR. On Ron's Mondail we were able to set the weights very close to optimum.

Default Rt, can you post the first

Rt,
can you post the first corner weight numbers before you adjust the spring perches. And the adjusted weight after. Just want to show the folks on this great site that you if you just set the ride height, you will change the corner weights and the balance of the corners, causing those strange handling problems. Also, you need to get with Lou Mendito on this site. He has a fast Mondial that he has modified for track use.

Default While I have not gotton to the

While I have not gotton to the corner weights, here is the competition suspension settings I got from Lou Menditto:
Alignment:
front camber = -1.5 degrees
front toe = .14 degrees
front caster = .64 degrees
rear camber = -2.2 degrees
rear toe = .20 degrees
I did pick up some extra camber when the car lowered, so will dial some of that out. Unlike Lou, who also lowered his t 1", have not had the bottoming problems.
Here is what it looks like below - if you look closely you can see the sl. increased camber in the rear.
Will get weights and new alignments next.
best
