Default mondial QV'83 fuse box

dear all
I have some problems with the electricity of my mondial QV '83. It is always surprising if the windows, blower, lights, windshieldwipers, etc, etc will work when I take the mondial for a spin....
The car runs perfectly but when I hit the brakes the airco dashboard lights start to shine :-(
I changed battery
I cleaned the connections
I checked all fuses and relais
It seems that I have a electrical leak from roughly 1.5 a 2 A per day.

could it be the grounding?
is it possible to ''çlean'''' the six plates in the fuse box?
does that make sense?
should I replace the fuse-box or those plates?

I'm looking for strong advise on this

best regards

Marc

Sorry, that was the only info I had on an aftermarket fuse box. I'm surprised they are that different. Maybe contact the owner of that site and see what he says. Best of luck!

Default Mondial fuse\relay box repair

Sorry to hear about your problems with your Mondial fuse box. This is no new problem as the Mondial fuse relay boxes have been a problem for some time.I am an electronic technician of 30 years and I was asked by the local Ferrari parts distributor to address this problem. My findings were the connecting circuit boards used in those boxes consists of (5) thin mylar\kevlar material flex circuit boards. The connector contact pins, relays and fuses all solder to this boards. This thin material does not have the strength to support the connection pins and the solder connections start to break. All kinds of electrical problems arise. After 4 programming engineers and 3 circuit board manufactures I finally have a circuit board that I am pleased with. This new board is a single multi-layer fiberglass board of 0.125 inch thickness. It is built with extra heavy 2 oz copper and along with increased solder pad size the problem has ben resolved. There are over a dozen in the field with excellent results. Results were so good that I now have an upgraded board for the 85-91 Testarossas and next week I will be have upgraded boards for the 400i.If you would like yours repaired, send me your defective box. I will remove the existing circuit boards and install the upgraded board. Turnaround time of 3 days at a cost of $850 plus shipping.Your days of electrical problems will be over. Best wishes...Electrotech
