Default Hi guys, After switching

Hi guys,

After switching to Royal Purple in my tranny, I have noticed a HUGE improvement in the shifting. With a few hundred miles down since the swap, I am very pleased with the results. She shifts much better than before.

Give Royal Purple a go in your car.

I think that I will try this product, when I finish my major service on my TR, and start adding new fluids.

Default Henry, I just switched anot

Henry,

I just switched another 308 over yesterday, a carbed car, maybe he can post his impressions after he gets a few miles.

The TR in the photo will be getting the full RP treatment as part of it's 30K service.

Regards, JRV

Default JRV: Which specific RP transm

JRV: Which specific RP transmission oil will you use for the TR, and what specific RP oil? It seems they have several to choose from.

How much RP trans fluid should I get, for my 88 TR?

Thanks.

Default I am going to give it a try al

I am going to give it a try also and report my findings. I have been using Mobil 1 syn. in my tranny and found it to be very good. It is due for a fluid change yet but changing it early can't hurt. Do you need to add any Limited slip additive? I hope not. I just like a fluid that doesn't require any additional additives.

Default Henry, I'm using the 75

Henry,

I'm using the 75-90w...without additives at this time. IF anyone starts experiencing Lmtd. Sl. Diff chatter I'll add some diff additive.

http://www.royalpurple.com/prodsa/mgeara.html

On the engine oil side, I'm using the standard 20-50 on the older cars because of the climate down here, the summers are very brutally hot out on the pavement where the cars live, and on the new cars like the recent 360 I changed over the 10-40 because of the modern reccs. and that car was going to live in a different climate. For cars that see a lot of Track Time, RP has a full line of Racing Oils in Multi and Straight Vis. that can be used on the street for hard chargers.
