Help...
My 308 QV door's have decided that they won't shut! Ive fiddled about with the door latches (on the car, not the door) with little success and wonder if anyone out there has any top-tips before I give it another attempt. Some factors that might play into this saga are that BOTH doors can be difficult to shut, but for the most part are fine. It is therefore an intermittant fault that only choses to strike at the most inopportune moments! It has nothing to do with the car being parked on uneven ground, but could it have something to do with the central locking which has never worked... Any advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks in anticipation, Colin |

I don't have central locks, but the owners manual says to NOT lock the doors until they are closed. It will mess up the locks or something so I have to use the key to lock it once I get out.
Are you locking them as you get out and then trying to close it? |

Thanks Sean,
Ive not been locking the doors, but in my attempts to fix, Ive noticed that you cant really lock the doors if they are open. They certainly wont shut if they're locked. The more I think of it, it must be the alignment of the catch. Regards, Colin |
